17th Annual Ice Cream Zoofari

POCATELLO - Dreyer's Ice Cream and Simplot are presenting Pocatello Zoo's 17th Annual Ice Cream Zoofari on Saturday, August 10th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Pocatello Zoo. It is “Huge”! Adults (12 and over) $6.00, children (3-11) $4.00, and 2 and under free. Admission includes “All You Can Eat” ice cream, with the band “Spanish Harlem” providing the musical entertainment. Zoo Participating in the Idaho Gives Campaign

POCATELLO - On May 2nd, Idahoans will come together for a day of giving to support the nonprofits in communities across our state, like the Pocatello Zoo. Adult "Wild Tracker" Zoo Volunteer Information Day March 9, 2013

Pocatello Zoo Education Programs to Receive
$3,500 U.S. Bancorp Grant

POCATELLO - The U.S. Bancorp Foundation will present a $3,500.00 check to the Pocatello Zoological Society for the Zoo at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 6, 2012. The presentation will take place at the new Grizzly Bear Exhibit. The Pocatello Zoo’s Outreach and Zoo Visitor Education programs have received funding support the past two years through the U.S. Bancorp Foundation and the Pocatello Zoological Society. Sneak Peek of the Zoo's New Grizzly Exhibit

POCATELLO - The Pocatello Zoo plans to open its new 1.3 million dollar grizzly exhibit July 3, 2012. "Independence Day for Stripes." The half acre exhibit features a stream with live trout and bass, a covered beach and a viewing gallery inches away from the bears with a unique training niche for keeper chats and much more. Cougar Makes an Appearance on Calling City Hall

POCATELLO - The Zoo's new Cougar cub recently made an appearance on the Mayor's Calling City Hall TV Program. Mayor Blad was joined by Scott Ransom, Pocatello Zoo Superintendent and Corrine Coffman, the new Zoo Educator to discuss the many fun activities planned for all ages at the Pocatello Zoo this summer. Cougar Cub Naming Rights Auction

POCATELLO - The Pocatello Zoo is holding an online auction for the naming rights to the Zoo's new Cougar cub. The auction will be held from March 5 through March 14. All funds raised will go to help complete the Zoo's new Grizzly Bear Exhibit and enlarge the cougar exhibit. CLICK FOR MORE INFO.

Grand Opening of Children's Wildlife Theater

POCATELLO - The Pocatello Zoo will open its new Children’s Wildlife Theater at 11:00 a.m. this Saturday, July 23, 2011 inside the Zoo Entrance and near the Bird of Prey Exhibits. Elk Saves Marmot

Zoo Announce New Arrivals
POCATELLO - The babes are here! The Pocatello Zoo welcomes a Black Bear cub, an American Elk calf and a Red Fox kit! The Pocatello Zoo has many exciting programs this summer that will feature these wild little babies. Zoo Summer Hours Change
POCATELLO - Starting June 16th through Labor Day (Sept. 5 th ) the Pocatello Zoo will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Free with Zoo Admission - June through August, Zoo Buddies - Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. and Tree House Encounters - Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m. The Last Friday in June, July & August is "Late Night at the Zoo" and the gate will remain open until 7:30 p.m. This is a great time to tour the Pocatello Zoo.
